I was making dinner last night and Tim was entertaining the kids. I noticed it had got quiet...so I look in the family room and all three of my kids (Ellie, Cole, and Tim) were playing Legos. Ellie LOVES blocks, Legos, or anything to build with...and Tim, being a guy, loves Legos too...so they get along great! Poor Cole wanted to build so bad but he just cannot figure out how to use those sticks coming off of his shoulders ;) So, Cole is in the back telling them where to put each block!! Haha!

Ellie's new starfish
Tim was moving a 400 gallon fish tank from a house to a school...so he was "holding" a lot of their livestock in his tank here at home. Well...one of these new critters was a starfish. Ellie fell in LOVE with that starfish. So, of course she became attached and would get up every morning and go straight to the fish tank to look for "her" starfish. So, now came the time to put the stuff Tim was holding back into the tank. I knew Ellie was going to be upset but I thought she would just forget. Shocker...she did not forget! So, Tim had to go buy her a new starfish b/c she really has never been so passionate about something.
Tim brings home the starfish today and Ellie is going CRAZY over "her new staaafish" and watches so carefully as Tim dripped it in. While she was watching Tim I asked her what her new starfish's name was going to be. She looked up at me and said "Hap Birday to U!" which in non-two-year-old talk means "Happy Birthday to you." So, I let it go thinking she would come up with something better and maybe a little shorter. So, I asked her later and she said "Hap birday to U." I said ok, then Happy Birthday to You is his name! (As me and Tim are cracking up!) She stayed and watched that starfish. The starfish buried itself in the sand and Ellie stood there and said "Hap birday to U, Wherrreee rrrrr you?" Needless to say...Ellie might have something more than looks from her daddy! Tim and I are hopefully going to get the name shortened to just Happy...that would be ok!
Cole's 2 month appointment
Cole is now 2 months...I cannot believe it...it seems like yesterday I was begging him to come out! He had his 2 month doctor appt today...Dr. Washington was happy to see him! Oh course the nurse Wendy and Dr. Washington were said that Ellie did not come - but it is easier to go without Ellie...especially when I get out of the car to go to the doctor and the BOTTOM FALLS OUT! OH COURSE!
If you talk to me you probably know that Cole HATES his carseat...so I asked the doctor about it and she said that some kids just do not like the carseat and they will grow out of it...so for now we have to have not so fun rides in the car! Hopefully he will grow out of it soon!
But, anyway...Cole looks GREAT! He was 13 lbs 13 oz and 24 inches long. He is in the 90th Percentile for height and weight and 60th for his head...not sure how he got a smaller head (Tim, Ellie and I all have big domes). He got 3 shots and was not happy about it. He was all smiles once we got home though...

Ellie got a "boo boo" as she calls it...she was at preschool today and "bunt heads" (bumped heads) with another kid. She said Ms. Christina put ice on it and gave her a kiss and it felt better.
Luke is doing well also...I am still watching him 3 days a week. Here is a pic of Uncle Tim feeding Luker - Tim laughs at Luke all the time - he thinks Luker is hilarious!

Cole's first time in the bumbo
Cole had another first yesterday...he sat up in the bumbo by himself. His neck is really good at keeping that little head up! His head is so much smaller than I remember Ellie's being! He got tired quick in the bumbo...but I think he really like sitting up with his reflux and all. Cole is still loving his tummy time - he loves to lift his head up and look around...he looks like a turtle! His 2 month appointment is on Tuesday...so we will get a check on height, weight, and how he is doing!Ellie had Ryleigh over to play yesterday while April and Cary went out to dinner for April's birthday. Ryleigh was so good and she is able to really play with Ellie. They had such a good time! Excuse Ellie in her panties - it is easier for her to use the bathroom by herself when we are at home!

Cole's first time in the outside swing!
Today it was nice enough in the evening to enjoy the backyard again! It has been SO HOT and I was not willing to risk Ellie out in the heat (ok - or myself). But, today was really nice out there about 5 pm. So, we decided to take Ellie out back to play and Cole came too! He really liked the swing as you can tell from the pics below - he took a while to warm up to it! Cole was really good today - he has been eating like a pig (all the time!). He is getting so big!! Ellie had a good time on the "big girl swing"...she is really doing a good job on them! I actually caught Cole smiling while he was swinging!!

This weeks summary
This week was B-U-S-Y...my days go by so fast lately. There is not a lot of time to blog. I had Luke Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week. He had a "procedure" done on his little wee wee - he took it like a champ, Katie said. Ellie finished her first week of preschool...she is loving it! She learned about dinosaurs this week and the sounds they make. So, she walks around now acting like a roaring dinosaur. She is learning classroom rules she said no hitting, be quiet, and if you break the rules you get in trouble. Ellie said she has already gotten in trouble for being loud...which totally shocks me ;)
Nana and Aunt Katie got to come along for the ride to pick Ellie up from school...she just looks so cute walking out of their with her big pink bookbag!
We have a busy weekend so I will have lots to blog soon!

Ellie's first day of school
El had her first day of real preschool today at Central Christian Church! She LOVED it! I dropped her off this morning - and she looked a little hesitant...which made me cry after dropping her off...but I guess she warmed up - b/c her teacher said she did so good and that she was a really sweet girl.
I asked Ellie what she did at school and she said "I played playground and ate pbutter and jelly" She was SO cute walking out of the building with her big pink bookbag on her back! She was BEAT though! She was rubbing her eyes before we got out of the parking lot. So...she went down for her nap really well!
Here are some pics of her first day...she said she is excited about going back! Yay!

My new business adventure!! Pass it on!
The wheels are turning again...Tim and I are all about self employment! One of my favorite things to do (if you could not tell) is take pictures of my kids, Luke, and anyone who will pose for me! So...I decided to turn my enjoyment for photography into a small side business. I am not out to make a killing...just do what I like to do!
Here is the deal...I want to take pics of couples (engagement pics), kids, babies, teens, families, pets, etc...in an outdoor and natural setting. I think those make the best pics - much better than the white JC Penney or Target background (I got sick of those).
I will meet you at any Gwinnett County Park (McDaniel Farms and Little Mulberry Park are my favorites) or outdoor setting of your choice, and spend as much time as needed (within limits - maybe not an all day event) in order to get the shots you and I are happy with.
My thing with the studios is I never get the prints I want...I feel rushed into making that decision and never get it right! I always end up with like 45 wallets and zero 5x7's!! So, to solve that problem I will put all the pictures I take on a CD for your to download to the website of your choice and print as many prints as you like and as often as you like - plus you will ALWAYS have a backup of the pictures. I will either give you the CD unedited right then - or I will also be willing to take the photos back home and edit them to give you several options (example - black and white photos, soft focused, etc.) but that might take a few days. The charge for the photo session and CD with all the pictures is $75.00. I can also make prints for you and all that pricing will be on my soon to come website (Thanks to my sister Katie.) Once the website is up and going I will post the link.
Please pass the word on to friends and family...I will be flexible with daytime, late afternoon, or weekend times. I would LOVE to take their pictures!! If they want to see any photos I have taken - most of them are candid, but some posed - show them my blog or facebook page - I have like 65 albums ;)

What's been going on...
Sorry - I have not posted in a long time...I have been really busy! I usually don't get a minute to sit down these days to blog.
I started watching Luke this week - he did really good Monday - he was really tired and both of the boys slept for 3 hours at the same time! It was nice! Cole has really started to wake up - he is getting out of that newborn stage. He has started smiling a bit...which makes me laugh him going from the serious mean face to a big huge smile!

Ellie has just been Ellie...the things that come out of her mouth crack me up! She has been a really big help with the boys - but she talks, talks, talks...and sometimes it makes my head hurt :). Ellie decided she wanted to go to the pool I guess b/c when I walked in the kitchen the other day she had smeared sunscreen all over her - and had gotten it so far in her belly button I am not sure we will ever get it out. Well...when she gets pregnant and her belly button pops out - maybe we can get the rest of it then...I do not know how she got it so far in there!
We have been so busy lately...this past weekend we went to Gramma's to tear down the barn, Sunday we went to Caroline's baby dedication. This weekend we have Miss Ryleigh's 1st birthday party and then Ellie is going to Grammies and Cole is going to Nana's...do you know what that means?????????????? HOME ALONE!! SLEEP!!!! YEAH!!! (Thanks to the Grandparents in advance!)
So, here are some pics from the past week or so...enjoy!
