Ellie...the new cross country runner

Today, Tim dropped me off at mom's house to hang out and keep me company. Jill was there and had gone for a run (wish I could!) When she came back she was in the floor stretching and Ellie got in the floor and did just what Jill was doing. It was so cute! She was trying to stretch - she was not as limber as Jill :) Excuse Ellie in just a shirt and diaper - her favorite outfit!

I got a much needed pic of me and Ellie too - we have not had a pic together in a long time - excuse the big wide "pregnancy nose"

PS - no baby from KT yet!

A hospital weekend

As I mentioned before, my mom's dad fell and broke his hip so we spent everyday this weekend at the hospital visiting him. I did not get to see him in rare form - but mom says him and Ellie are acting a lot a like these days. All he will eat is ice cream - which is no shocker. He will still remain in the hospital all week and then maybe move him to a nursing home for rehab. We took Ellie in to see him twice - both times he was asleep - but she would say "pa-paw wake up!" He is on all sorts of meds - so I doubt he would remember anyways. Hopefully he continues to progress.

Katie has STILL NOT DELIVERED! She has 6 days til her due date...so little Luke hopefully will come this week!! She is getting more swollen by the day - poor thing! As soon as she delivers and I get home - I will update with pics!

The waiting it getting old

Ok, I am SO ready for baby Luke to come. I would have thought we would have met the little booger by now! He is being stubborn (even thought Katie is still 1 week from her due date), but still...come out already! I know Katie is really ready as well.

We have more family news - Grampa - my moms dad fell and broke his hip yesterday. He is in the hospital in Athens due for an operation tomorrow. I hope all goes well :)

This evening - I went to use our downstairs bathroom - and when I walked in and turned on the light something was there that scared the heck out of me! I looked down and Ellie had put her Dora toilet seat on our toilet and put her doll on it - I guess the doll had to go. The doll looked so real - I screamed and jumped back. Tim was outside pushing Ellie on the swing - so I wanted to take pics to show him - enjoy!

Ellie hanging with Grampa

It looks like it has been a while since I blogged last...not much has happened since last Tuesday. I am still on bed rest...still a little bored...but I feel so much better when I lay down!

I had my 30 week doctor appt yesterday - everything looks good with Cole - he is measuring 31 weeks and his heartbeat is strong. I go back May 5th for my 32 weeks appt...things are gettng close!

Katie is due in 12 days...she is READY! I am READY too! I can't wait to see and meet the little man. Hopefully he will come soon!!

Yesterday Katie and Ellie babysat Grampa during my mom's cousins funeral. Katie said they did all sorts of fun thing...played golf, cleaned, and ate ice cream. After the funeral cousin Suzanna and baby Caroline came by to see Ellie. Ellie gave Caroline lots of kisses as usual. Caroline smiled at Ellie until Ellie hugged Caroline and I think hugged her a little too tight!

Ellie has too much of her daddy in her!

Yum...ICE CREAM!

Ellie the new driver

When Tim got home from work today - Ellie went outside to meet him and wanted to get in "daddy's truck". Tim put her in the back seat and she climbed her way to the front driver's seat. She was ready to go. She sat there trying to turn the wheel, pretending to shift the car in drive (yikes!), and play with all of the buttons. She played in his car (with supervision) for about 20-30 mintues. She is 2 going on 16 - ready to drive! Yikes - help me!

Tim and I were later sitting watching American Idol and we noticed that Ellie was not making "soup", feeding her baby, or bouncing wildly on her horse. Tim looked over and she had drug her Dora chair in the dining room (I guess where there were no people singing Mariah Carey) so she could read her book. It was so cute! There she sat, reading all by her self. I guess she has been watching mommy do the same - sitting here reading...that is what our days have come to!

Ellie's weekend

Ellie had a big weekend...Friday my grampa in Athens needed someone to stay with him while my gramma went to the doctor so my mom and Ellie set off for Athens. Mom said Ellie did a really good job entertaining grampa...she talked on the phone, read to big bird, and of read with grampa. Mom said she was a hoot and grampa loved it!

Ellie chatting on the phone...

Ellie reading to big bird...

Ellie and grampa reading...

Saturday Ellie went to spend the night with Grammie (Tim's mom). When you ask Ellie what they did...she says "we played". She seemed to have a great time - she was pooped today!

Today - Tim drove me to Athens to spend the day with Katie...she cooked dinner for the whole fam...pretty good being 37 weeks! I cannot wait for Luke to come!! YEAH! Hopefully it will be in the next few weeks!

This weekend will be week #2 on bed rest - the first week went by pretty SLOW! We will see what this week brings.

First few days on bed rest

The first few days have been very long - but restful. My body feels good - but my mind is going crazy! Now I remember why I needed to work in order to stimulate my brain :). Don't get me wrong - I am enjoying my time off - but it is going to be a long 4 months.

Ellie and I went to the library today to get books for mommy to read while laying in bed...she was GREAT! I told her before going in that we were going into a place where you cannot talk and she put her finger up to her mouth and said shhhh...

She did not peep a word except to whisper "books" while I was searching for what book I wanted to get. The library has changed a lot since I have been there last - which was about 8 years ago when I was in highschool - sad! All you do now is place your books on this placemat looking thing - scan your card - and poof...it prints a receipt and you are outta there! I guess there is some sort of sensor in the book that tells the computer the book info. It was really cool!

So, now I am starting to read "The Devil wears Prada" I am going to read the book and then rent the movie through our netflix. Should be fun!

Our Sunday with Katie and Dan

Today was a nice day. Tim spent most of the day outside landscaping - after dropping a small fortune on plants - that we will probably kill...it looks really nice. He worked hard while Katie, Ellie, and I sat on the couch and talked to Nana on the internet. Mom got this new computer that has a camera on it. Since Nana is at the beach - we got a web came as well so we could see if the video messages worked...it DID! We were able to talk to Nana and see each other on the internet. Ellie thought it was the greatest thing. She kept kissing the camera I guess b/c she thought it was Nana.

We did go outside and sit and watch Tim for about 30 minutes - I snapped some pics of Ellie helping which are above. My first week off work is this week - we will see how bored I get :(.

Going to the Luke's

This evening me, Tim , and Ellie went to Aunt Phyllis' and Uncle Jim's house to be with them on Evan's birthday. Of course we ate - we are good at that and we just hung out and talked - something we are good at as well. We had a really good time as always. It is so neat to see how our family is growing and growing. Ellie managed not to mess up too many things at their house - just mashed potatoes on the chair - hopefully it dried clean :). We look forward spending more and more time with them as our families grow more and more. Tomorrow Katie and I are watching Tim plant flowers (I really want to do it - but can't....boo)

First posting for my blog

Well, I figured since I was going to be stuck at home most of the time - or not doing much...I would start a blog. I just want to have this to give updates on myself, my pregnancy, the funny things Ellie Kate does, and once Cole is born - Cole.

Well, yesterday I went to the doctor for my 28 weeks appointment and was told in order to relieve my pain and help with my hernia I would need to rest a lot. So, the doctor took me out of work since sitting for long periods of time restricts the blood flow and causes swelling "down under". Cole is just really low and measuring 2.5 weeks big and putting lots of pressure on my stomach and my bottom. For some reason, the pressure has caused me to have a inguinal hernia. So, I am to lay in bed most of the day until I give birth which is 10-12 weeks away...yuck! I am going to be requring lots of help from nana and aunt Jill since I have a little one depending on me!

Now, on to fun things...Ellie Kate. She is talking more and more everyday. She totally understands what I ask, tell, or request her to do...it is kind of nice! I think Ellie is getting her two-year-old molars. She is not sleeping very well...she is congested and complains that her mouth hurts. Well, she woke up at 7:15 am this morning and Tim went to go get her and put her in our bed to watch Thomas the train. Once she got in our bed, of course, she wanted to sleep. So, we did not mind going back to sleep so there we all lay sleeping and Ellie I guess picked up a new job of sawing logs!!! She snores louder and deeper than a 60 year old overweight man. I don't know where she gets it - me and Tim do not snore...weird!

Well, I am sure I will be blogging a lot since I will not have much else to do! Until next time...
